    Lisa Bazis is a seasoned security executive with a passion for information security in a healthcare setting. She has over 20 years of IT experience with more than 15 in information security. In January 2018, she was named chief information security officer for the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) and its primary clinical partner, Nebraska Medicine. Prior to that, she was the lead information security engineer at UNMC/Nebraska Medicine. Her passions are GRC (governance, risk management and compliance management) and security architecture; however, her team is responsible for all aspects of information security including malware analysis and defense, computer forensics and enterprise security. A Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Bazis has a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science and her Master of Science degree in cybersecurity.

    Sean Roberts, Vice President of Information Technology at The University of Kansas Health System, works with the technical IT team and clinicians to provide the very best technical solutions necessary to provide optimal patient care. His background includes experience in ambulatory billing, ambulatory IT operations, ITIL process development and implementation, strategic security planning and hospital IT operations. He has a Bachelor’s of science in Business Administration from Emporia State University and is a fellow with the Health Information Management Systems Society and past president for the Kansas City chapter.  “I have been in healthcare since college and each day I come to work eager to help our staff and to make an impact on our patients’ experience here at The University of Kansas Health System.”
